E.D.S. Landscaping can install the perfect drainage systems for your property. Your system will collect rain water that seems to accumulate in the yard. Additionally, if you have a gutter system on the house we will attach all the down spouts to the system. The excess water will never stand in the yard. Solid Pipe Drainage and "French" Drain System are both underground systems. Above ground drainage system are also a beautiful methods of drainage.

Solid Pipe Drainage

Solid Pipe Drainage

E.D.S. Landscaping can install underground drainage systems using quality 4" PVC Pipe. We never us the black corrugated pipe. This system will have surface drains to collect rain water that accumulates in the yard. Additionally, if you have a gutter system on the house we will attach all the down spouts to the drainage system so the roof water never gets to the yard.

French Drain System

"French" Drain System

French drain system are typically perforated pipe surrounded by gravel. The idea is that the water will enter the surface drains and the water will disperse thru the pipe and be absorbed by the soil around it. We do not recommend this type of system because our soils are “gumbo” and do not absorb water well. We do install “French” drains next to house or patio where the water is standing, but we discharge the water to the street using solid pipe.

Above Ground Drainage

Above Ground Drain System

Underground drain systems are always best but when the catch basins need to be in a flowerbed, a above ground system may be better. This type of drainage will keep the loose material from clogging the surface drain. If necessary, a underground pipe can still be installed under the gravel to take the water to the street.
